For United States ports, tide information displayed in this app is based on NOAA tide prediction data, which is available in the public domain. Tide Alert is not affiliated with NOAA. NOAA does not necessarily support or endorse, or have any connection with this app. The data provided here have not been subjected to any quality control or quality assurance procedures and do not meet the criteria and standards of official National Ocean Service data.

For all other locations worldwide, tide predictions are computed from a global harmonic tide model using constants from FES2022 (CNES, 2024), EOT20 (Hart-Davis et al., 2021) and, at estuary ports, TICON-4 (Hart-Davis et al., 2025), derived from tide-gauge records. These predictions are calculated estimates and have not been subjected to the quality control or quality assurance procedures of any official hydrographic authority. They are referenced to Mean Sea Level (MSL) and therefore use a different reference datum than the NOAA ports above, which are referenced to Chart Datum (approximately Mean Lower Low Water). Levels from stations using different datums are not directly comparable.

The user assumes the entire risk related to its use of these data. Use with appropriate caution. Tide data displayed in Tide Alert does not take into account the effects of wind, storm, rain, freshwater runoff, floods and other meteorological events. The tide graph rendered uses the predicted high tide and low tide events of the day and the segments between these tide events are approximated.

Do NOT use Tide Alert for NAVIGATION purpose or any other purpose that may result in personal injury or property damage.
